Born in Nicaragua and raised in Costa Rica, Mr. Urcuyo came to the United States in 1979. After attending high school and college in Los Angeles, California, Mr. Urcuyo has distinguished himself as a successful businessman, consultant, and entrepreneur.
After founding and operating several successful businesses. Home Loan Mortgage, Inc. The Genesis Group, Inc. and Marketplace Consulting, Inc.
In 1998, Mr. Urcuyo became the Founder, President and CEO of Processing Source International, Inc. (PSI). In 1999, Processing Source International became a wholly owned subsidiary of Accesspoint Corporation, a publicly traded company. In addition to being President and CEO of PSI, Mr. Urcuyo also held the Office of the Presidency and was on the Board of Directors for Accesspoint, a technology company that helped with the efficiencies of real-time technology in the credit card processing industry.
In 2000, Chase Manhattan Bank selected Processing Source International to be its first full-fledged third-party risk and underwriting organization. Within six months, Processing Source International had become the nation’s top producer of merchant accounts for Chase Merchant Services, LLC.
In February 2002, Mr. Urcuyo sold his interest in Accesspoint and PSI to pursue his current vision. After taking some time off, Mr. Urcuyo was asked to consult for a few companies in the credit card processing industry and after sitting on the Government Committee of the Electronic Transaction Association, the credit card processing industry’s leading trade organization.
In 2003, Mr. Urcuyo founded CardMarte Corporation.
